A short hop for “The Snoop” this week as we put the tri-sided Kassam Stadium under the microscope.

First Impressions of the stadium, parking, ease of entry.6The Kassam Stadium only has stands on three sides of the ground with a car park where the fourth should be. It has a capacity of 12,500 with away fans being accommodated in the one half of the North Stand nearest the car park. There’s free parking at the stadium which understandably fills up quickly. The coach & minibus parked next to the away entrance.
Food & Drink, range, quality, price.8The kiosk on the concourse served pies, pasties, hot dogs, burgers, hot drinks etc and alcohol was also available, plus there was a burger wagon doing brisk trade outside. The quality and pricing was reasonable.
View from your seat, any poles in the way, obstructed view, seat broken?8The view from the North Stand was unobstructed. Wheelchair users were located within a designated area near the front of the same stand.
Home team support, was it a library, good banter between the fans?5The attendance for this fixture was 8,141. Much like our last visit the home fans weren’t really heard and consequently there wasn’t any banter.
What were the stewards like, helpful and friendly or jobsworths?7I’ve had mixed reports regarding the stewards. Those I engaged with were friendly and helpful. However, I’ve been told that other fans experiences were less favourable.
Toilet facilities, clean and well equipped with hot water, disgusting.7The toilets were clean and relatively well maintained.
Ticket pricing, did the price reflect the facilities of the ground?6An adult ticket was £26 which was an increase of £2 from last season.
Ground facilities, half time service, did they let fans outside at halftime?8The concourse area is under the stand so protected from the elements, but the area can get busy. Fans were allowed outside to smoke at half-time.
Match atmosphere, did the Dons fans give good support?8There were 715 Dons fans in attendance which was less than half the number that made the trip last season. They still made plenty of noise with the assistance of the drum.  Unfortunately, the atmosphere was marred by the throwing of a flare which resulted in one of our own fans in the disabled area requiring medical assistance. I understand that credit should be given to the staff who assisted. Also disappointing to hear the RM chant again.
Ease of exit, did the carpark clear quickly, traffic around the stadium?6Our departure from the car park wasn’t as bad as previous occasions but was still slow.
