After four days of hard graft by MKDSA committee members and a handful of very welcome volunteers we have managed to rebuild popular match day venue Lewington’s back to its former glory.
For those that aren’t aware we had to completely take Lewington’s apart for the Summer Concerts and the Women’s Euro’s and all our furniture etc was stored away for safe keeping.
We are all looking forward to welcoming you back to see our hard work, we have made a few small changes and in the coming weeks further changes will be taking place including installing a 16-seater sofa and another large TV to help you get the best view of the lunchtime fixture that this week features Fulham v Liverpool from 12-30pm.
Access to the bar is from 12 midday at Gate 5 and after 1-30pm from anywhere in the stadium. Please note once you enter the stadium you will not be allowed out, but there is a small smoking area accessible via the opposite stairs you entered by. The bar is also open at halftime, and an hour after the match so you can sit and watch the scores come in whilst everyone else tries to get out of the carpark.
DelBoy looks forward to seeing you at the revamped MKDSA Shop that not only stocks programmes dating back to our first season in the EFL but also our retro shirt stall. Again, we have just about every shirt the Dons have ever worn for sale, shorts, and leisure gear, some still in their original packaging. In addition, we have obtained a large quantity of match worn kits and training wear that was only available to players and match staff, we even have some KR and Dele shorts for sale.
It is all competitively priced and is sure to fly off the shelves just as our last delivery did, so if there is a shirt you are looking for or you are after some match worn merch come and speak to James …. we may be able to accommodate you.
We also look forward to renewing your memberships which costs as little as £3 for the season for adults, and you could be in line for our new monthly cash prize draw. We urge people to join us, it’s a small cost but every penny we raise we can buy more equipment and you will benefit, plus you could win that cash prize.
We will also be running the very popular football card where just for a £1 you can win as much as £40; John should be making his way round the room about 1pm.
Don’t forget for memberships, the MKDSA shop and the football card we can take cash or card.
Finally, and possibly the best piece of news is that in the last week the bar cooling system, pipes and pumps have all been renewed in the bar.
So, join us in Lewington’s on Saturday from 12, the only place to be for the build up to the match.
