REF WATCH CHELTENHAM

So, with an epic win on Saturday against league leaders Rotherham United at their own ground our attentions turn to Tuesday night and the visit of Cheltenham Town in this rearranged fixture.

The man in the middle in this must win clash is Craig Hicks from Surrey, and he will be assisted by Ryan Whitaker and Marc Wilson on the flags with Declan O’Shea in charge of the 4th Official duties.

Mr Hicks has overseen 27 games so far this season brandishing 78 yellow cards, 1 of which he converted to a double yellow/red card offence. In addition, he has shown 4 straight red cards and awarded 4 penalties.

The last time we saw ref Hicks was away to Northampton Town in the 3rd Rd of the EFL Trophy back in January 2021, a game we won 2-0 with Stephen Walker scoring both goals, the second coming from the spot after Jerome was brought down in the box.

The team that night was – Nicholls, Lewington, Keogh, Poole, Fraser (Johnson 80), Walker, Surman (Gladwin 70), Sorensen, Mason (Jerome 70), Harvie (Davies 88), Sorinola………. hard to believe our team has changed so much in just over a year.
