FUND RAISING FOR AN AED DEFIBRILLATOR

I’m sure many of you watched the dramatic events unfold during the Newcastle United v Spurs game shown on SKY Sports where the game was suspended because of a medical emergency involving a fan that required urgent assistance with CPR needing to be administered plus the use of an AED defibrillator.

Many of you have already acknowledged that we can’t have enough of these life saving pieces of equipment around the stadium, to be able to access one within minutes is of vital importance and could potentially save someone’s life.

The MKDSA have spoken with the club last night and again this morning and they have confirmed that they are equipped for such a medical emergency with AED defibrillators around all parts of the ground, the hotel, and the arena, but there is nothing readily available on the Upper Concourse or in the Lewington’s Bar area.

Yesterday afternoon the MK Dons Fans Facebook Group posted that it would be a good idea to fund raise for an AED, and many of you agree and are willing to donate towards such a good cause.

With this in mind, we have set up a page to be able to collect donations and we are going to need over £1,000 to be able to purchase one, hopefully with your generosity we will be able to achieve that target. If we raise more, we will of course purchase further AED’s to be positioned around the ground.

THIS FUND RAISING EFFORT HAS NOW CLOSEDTHANK YOU
