Saturday’s official in the middle is Marc Edwards from Tyne & Wear and the omens aren’t looking great. Three games he has taken charge of us and three times we have lost, 1-0 to Fleetwood in 2019, where we lost in the 88th minute after defending the whole game and having no recognised striker. 1-0 to Blackpool in October 2020, and we also lost 3-0 to Peterborough at London Road in January 2021, so not only haven’t we earned a single point, but we also haven’t scored either.
This season Mr Edwards has taken control of four games booking 13 players, no red cards, and awarded 1 penalty. Last season it was 32 games in charge, just 1 red card and 9 penalties awarded.
He will be assisted on the flags by Leigh Crowhurst and Ravel Cheosiaua, and Marc Wilson is the 4th Official.
