LEAGUE 1 BETTING 2021/22

We know how some of you like to place a bet at the start of the season with the odds slightly more generous before the season kicks off, so we have done the leg work for you and hunted down the best prices we could find on the internet, you may have to hunt about a bit, but the prices quoted below are out there.

No great surprises that the Black Cats once again head the betting at 7/1 with newly relegated Wednesday at 10/1. There does appear to be a bit of value in some teams this year, Ipswich who are destined to be well backed up with transfer cash this season at 9/1 and especially catch the eye, as do the relegated Wycombe at a come and get me price of 20/1. Doncaster are also attractively priced at 33/1, let’s not forget they were right up there for most of the season and could have gone top at one stage, and only fell out of contention when injuries swamped their chances.

The one big move in the markets is Wigan Athletic who were once quoted at 25/1 to lift the title, that has now come into 12/1 and that is disappearing fast. This is probably based on their summer signing activity, where they haven’t spent a lot in fees, but they look set to have a hefty wage bill which has raised eyebrows knowing Wigans financial history.
