On behalf of the MKDSA I would like to offer my congratulations to the Fans of the Year for the 2020/21 season as nominated by you the fans.
In what has been a difficult season for fans resigned to the fact that it was going to be a season of watching games from the comfort on their own sofa some excellent nominees have stood out from the crowd, and have gone above and beyond, and I’m extremely pleased that we have been able to award some of them.
In the adult category we have joint winners in the MK 1 Podcast team of Liam Connolly, Ross Duffy, and Joe Friess, and the lads have shared the award with Jon Harries who as you all know writes the match previews for the MKDSA, so many congratulations all round to both for putting out regular content and keeping the fans engaged in this most difficult of seasons.
In the Junior Fan of the Year we also have joint winners in Max Salt who runs his own YouTube channel with over 1,000 subscribers, and a former winner of this award Maja Kopec who also runs her own YouTube channel Come on You Dons and provides content for the Red Dot app.
The other sponsored MKDSA award of the season is the MKDSA Young Player of the Year award as chosen by the MKDSA committee. It was a very difficult decision with so many good players eligible this season (under 23 at the start of the season), and after much deliberation and what turned out to be a split decision, we have awarded it this year to Harry Darling who joins a notable list of former winners.
