TRASH TALK LINCOLN

Many thanks to 66 year old Peter Doyle a Lincoln City Imps fan for taking part in this edition of Trash Talk ahead of our Good Friday clash at Sincil Bank.

As always we wish our contributor well and say good luck with the promotion push, you’re certainly the surprise package this season in League 1.

Where do you think your club will finish up in the league this season?

I believe we will finish in a playoff position.

What has been your best result this season, and of course your worst?

Best: Burton Albion (h) 5 -1.  Worst: Sunderland (h) 0 – 4.

Has your club talked about season tickets for the 21/22 season? How are they navigating the possibility of no crowds or reduced capacity?

The club board are working on this currently and will make an announcement accordingly.

Which opposition team that you have played has impressed you the most this season?

Sunderland.

Which player has stood out for your team this season, and which player has come through the ranks and looks a real prospect?

Jorge Grant has stood out prior to his injury and Sean Rougham is only 17 years old but appears to have a great future in the game.

Are you happy with the business you conducted in January transfer window? Who did you recruit and what are your initial impressions? Or was keeping certain players more key?

Keeping key players such as Jorge Grant was key to our club. Morgan Rogers came in on loan from Manchester City and has made a good impact.

Which MK Dons player stands out to you as a game changer in our clash?

Will Grigg.

What style of play can we expect to see from your team?

Very much a passing side that plays out from the back.

Have you ever been to Stadium MK, if so, what’s your opinion on it?

Yes, I attended your Boardroom as the Red Imps Community Trust elected Director on the club board in April last season. We won 2 – 0 on the day. I was very impressed with the stadium and your hospitality.

Where do you think the MK Dons will finish in the league table?

Mid-table.

From what you have seen, who are your tips for the league title, promotion, and relegation?

Title: Hull City. Promoted: Sunderland (automatic) Lincoln City (playoffs). Relegated: Rochdale, Wigan Athletic, Bristol Rovers and Northampton Town.

Can you give us your match prediction?

3 – 1 win for The Imps.
