THE FLOOR IS Yours DANNY SHAW

Many thanks to 43 year old Danny Shaw for taking part in todays “The Floor is Yours”, Danny is a well-known face on matchdays, especially in the Red Dot Bar before the game. We are getting down the pile of these, and I know we keep saying we are going to draw a line under this feature and move on, but we are happy to publish your story if you would like to answer a few questions. Just email Derren at mediamkdsa@yahoo.com and he will help you through the process. We would especially like to hear from any of our junior fans and how it all began for you, any ladies fans, or some of our older generation who discovered live football for the first time, or you just had your passion rekindled for the beautiful game.

Tell us a little bit about how you became a Dons fan and what was your first game?

I was a Luton fan , but my kids didn’t want to support them they wanted to support their local team and ever since I have become a Dons fan I have made some great friends and become part of a new family.

What were your expectations for us pre-season, and have you changed your mind on what you have seen so far?

I would have been happy with staying up and clear of the relegation zone, now I’m thinking wow we could get in the top 6, possibly promotion, fingers  crossed.

Which Dons player, or players have really impressed you so far this season?

We have made some great signings, and all have impressed me, but the biggest one I think has to be Harry Darling, a great player with great potential.

Best and worst performances so far this season?

The worst performance has to be against Northampton a few days ago, but we did win, and if we can do that while playing bad it shows we have come a long way and can do well. The best performance, I want to say the game against Charlton, but I must add I have enjoyed all the games as we have improved just about every time.

What is your favourite Dons moment or moments?

Beating the AFC scum at the “New” Plough Lane .

Who is your all-time favourite player and why?

You know what I don’t know, I want to say all that’s played for us, but the main one has to be Rhys Healey .

Who is the best striker to have ever pulled the Dons shirt on, and why?

Oh wow this one is hard, we have had so many good strikers over the years and some poor ones, I will say all of them because we have won games through their goals and at the time they felt like they were the best.

Who is a good tip for promotion and relegation in League 1?

I’m gonna say Lincoln City as Champions, Peterborough as Runners Up and the Dons as the playoff winners…. Lol.

Fisher or Nicholls?

I like both, and both have great attributes in goal, but I would say Fisher just edges it, sorry Lee.

Home games, or away games?

Home, but I do want to do more away games in the future.

All fans love a good awayday, are there any grounds you look forward to visiting again, or perhaps one on your bucket list?

I do love a good away day, but sadly I haven’t done many, but I do want to do all grounds at some stage, but I’m not fussed to visit ones I’ve been to before.

Where do you think MK Dons will finish up this season?

Top 6, possibly promotion.

White shirt, red shirt, or black shirt?

Black, love the black shirt .

Your preferred matchday grub?

It’s got to be a CazBar double bacon cheeseburger.

Any other comments?

I just want to say thank you to Russell Martin,  since he’s been manager he has put a lot of faith back in the club for the fans especially this season. I know we all had our doubts, but I hope that most who did doubt him have got the respect and the enjoyment back in the team.
