REF WATCH PETERBOROUGH

Seems like an age since we have done one of these, so I guess it proves that old football saying, “A week is a long time in football”.

It was disappointing to succumb to Burnley on penalties, but a funny experience nevertheless when we were faced with the scrutiny of VAR when Keogh got sent off and eventually rescinded, thankfully it was the right decision, and the referee was big enough to put it right.

This weekend we have no such delights, with just a referee and his assistants.

In the middle is Marc Edwards from Tyne & Wear and the last time we saw him was earlier on in the season when we lost 1-0 on the road to Blackpool, a game in which Mr Edwards booked four players, Richard Keogh, and David Kasumu for us.

Ref Edwards has officiated at 15 games this season and a number where he has acted as the 4th official, and he has produced the yellow card on 54 occasions, and as far as we can see he has resisted giving anyone their marching orders. He is joined on the flags by Grant Taylor and Geoff Russell, with Carl Brook as the 4th Official
