REF WATCH BRISTOL ROVERS

We haven’t heard anything different, but with the last few Rovers games called off because of an outbreak of Covid 19 in the Rovers camp there might be a small chance this game won’t go ahead. If it does though sadly, we are back to watching from the comfort of our own homes which is a great shame after getting back into the stadium briefly, as attending the Boxing Day game being an essential in the Christmas festivities.

Fingers crossed then let’s have a sneaky look at who the man is that is in control of our destiny as once again we have dipped into the record books to examine another profile, this time for our Boxing Day referee.

Its James Oldham from Derbyshire and judging by a few photos we considered for this article he will have a strong affinity with Lewie.

This will be the first game for Mr Oldham involving us as he only progressed from the National League at the start of the 2019/20 season, his final act at that level was reffing the National League Playoff Final that saw Salford promoted to League 2. This season he has been the man in the middle on 15 occasions showing the yellow card on 32 occasions and giving two players red cards.

Mr Oldham will be joined on the flags by Michael Webb and Joe Simpson, with the 4th official as Declan Ford.
