Once again, we dive head long into the record books to see what we can find out with the recent appointments for the weekend just announced. Last week the man in the middle gave us a well-deserved penalty, well we thought so and that’s all that counts, but we do question why he didn’t add David Kasumu to his notebook who seems to be the must have player this season for refs to collect.
This week we bump headlong into a face we have seen many times since his introduction to league football, Mr Scott Oldham from Lancashire, although it appears that he has not reffed us since December 2019 when we drew 1-1 with Doncaster at the Keepmoat.
For the record on that day Alex Gilbey scored a cracker after 51 minutes only for Cameron John to equalise with 5 minutes left on the clock to deny Russell Martin his first win in charge for the Dons. Mr Oldham booked 3 people that day, with McGrandles and Boateng the offenders for the Dons.
So far this season Scott has taken up the whistle on 11 occasions, issuing 18 yellow cards, with the red card staying firmly hidden from view so far this season, in addition he has awarded 5 penalties.
His Assistants are Andy Bennett and Leigh Crowhurst, with Marvyn Amplect acting a 4th Official.
