Okay, we are cheating a bit as we are playing Southampton under 21’s, but with no previous games against them we have to make do with a League One game from 2010.

MK Dons secured three precious points against a Southampton side who lost their first game under new manager Nigel Adkins. Karl Robinson got a late birthday present as Angelo Balanta fired past Kelvin Davis on 72 minutes and Peter Leven secured the win after Davis parried his original shot before he made no mistake the second time.

MK Dons moved up to third in the table with this victory while Southampton endured a fourth straight defeat.
