We are grateful to Ryan Washbourn a Donny Rovers fan who helped us put together the Trash Talk interview for our game on Saturday, and he got back in touch to give us his opinion on the game, many thanks to Ryan. In the future we will follow up on those that contribute to Trash Talk and try and get some more feedback, but it may prove hard reading on occasions.
Ryan writes:
Overall, I thought Donny lacked fitness and that bit of sharpness in the final 3rd, most of the time the ball was given away sloppily, or chances were just not converted.
I didn’t feel we were up to the speed of the game whether that was down to the fitness of the players, or just the fact the team is still trying to gel together, only time will tell.
I thought we passed the ball around well to try and create chances to convert, I also thought the midfield pressed very well most of the game.
As I said in my pre match prediction Madger Gomes was outstanding proving why that CDM position should be his, and he will only keep on improving.
I thought MK were very solid, exceptionally good at pressing, and a good passing team and the two strikers caused us a massive threat which I think we were lucky to get away with.
Overall, we were also incredibly lucky to get away with a point from the game as I feel that the Dons deserved the 3 points in the end.
