THANK YOU

Chairman Colin Butler writesI just want to say a massive thank you to all those individuals that have all played their part in getting this new website ready for the new season. I think you can imagine it has been a huge undertaking, many hours, many problems, and the occasional sleepless night.

We’ve always planned to get it ready one week before we kicked off the season, and even up until the last few hours of the launch time we had a minor hiccup, but we resolved that and reset the clock for launch. I cannot deny it was a nerve-racking moment waiting for 8pm to tick by, but as you can see it all went smoothly and here, we are.

There are still some niggling issues, but we will work on those in the coming days, but fingers crossed its running smoothly. The hard work starts here and we have many plans how we can expand and keep progressing, but if you have any bright ideas of features you want to see please contact our Media Manager mediamkdsa@yahoo.com

We have had plenty of interest in people wanting to take up MKDSA memberships online and we are working on that. Unfortunately, we are waiting for our bank to give us clearance to take payments, and they appear to be in no great hurry, but again we hope to get that resolved very quickly and you can start joining up, or of course you could wait until we can get back down the stadium and come and see us in person at the MKDSA kiosk.

I am also pleased to say we have also had two people volunteer to write future articles and join our reporting team, so look out for those in the near future, and again if you fancy yourself as a bit of an amateur journo, please contact our Media Manager (Details are above or from the contact page).

Finally I want to say a massive thank you to all of you that have joined us online, we had over 1,000 hits in the first four hours, from places like the USA, Canada, Asia, mainland Europe, and even one hit from Jersey, plus strangely a few people from the Merton area.

Below is just an example of some of the comments we received in the last 24 hours.

Thanks Again
