MKDSA donate widescreen TV to the Club Bar

The MK Dons Supporters Association have kindly donated a widescreen TV to the Football Club for use in the Club Bar.

MK Dons trialled the new dedicated fan area ahead of Sky Bet League One fixture with Doncaster Rovers back in March – the final game before the 2019/20 season was halted due to concerns surrounding the Coronavirus outbreak.

One of the key features of the Club Bar, situated in the Upper Cowshed, was that it would be a place for home fans to watch the early kick-off, and MKDSA have helped to improve that experience by donating a 60-inch screen. javascript:(function(){return;})()

MKDSA Chairman Colin Butler, pictured above second from the right, told mkdons.com:

Since its formation, the MKDSA has achieved a number of superb charitable deeds including the wonderful Changing Places facility in the stadium.

We have worked closely with the Club on the new area and identified a number of issues that need some attention, most notably the size of the TV’s in the bar. Unfortunately, with the onset of Covid 19, not only was the use of the new facility brought to an abrupt end, just as it was getting off the ground, but it also meant that there was going to be less funds available for the upgrades everyone felt was necessary.

Therefore, it seemed the perfect time for the MKDSA to lend a hand and donate a widescreen TV for the enjoyment of the fans.”

Colin added:

The MKDSA often works away quietly in the background, helping fans and the club with projects that few get to see, so it is fantastic for us to be able to come out of the shadow’s and do something for everyone.

We have a really great committee this season and everyone is determined to press on and improve the relationship with our fanbase and have a lot more interaction.”
