Born in Southwark, South London, on 13 February 1981, Charlie played for the Millwall youth team before joining Charlton Athletic
as a trainee, turning professional in August 1998.
Between 2002 and 2011 he played for Margate, Stevenage, Crawley, Gravesend
& Northfleet, Southend and Brentford,
before signing for MK Dons on 26
August 2011 for an undisclosed fee,
reported to be £35,000, to replace Sam Baldock who had signed with West Ham.
He scored 13 goals in 65 appearances
for the Dons, but unfortunately is remembered mostly by the fans for missing an open goal from mere feet away at Coventry City in October 2012.
Charlie left the Dons to go to Leyton Orient on a free transfer in January 2013 and since gone on to play for Oldham Athletic and Barnet.
